Becoming part of the pack is easy! We walk you and your dog through the process to ensure a fun and safe transition into the pack. We encourage any and all questions, just give us a call and we are happy to help!

Temperament Assessment/Trial Period
Not all dogs are comfortable in group settings. To ensure that all of our dogs play together safely, Chasing Tails 4 U requires an initial visit with you and your dog so that we can gather information about his/her temperament. He/she is then gradually introduced to the pack while we carefully observe him/her interacting. The trial period must be done in 3 consecutive days (each day is 4 to 5 hours of daycare) and is free of charge. By the third day you will receive notification regarding whether or not your dog will be accepted as a member of Chasing Tails 4 U

Animal Care and Control Requirements
All Chicago residents must have a name tag and a current City of Chicago dog license attached to their dog's collar. They are available online at or at the Office of the Chicago City Clerk,City Hall, Room 107, 121 N. LaSalle Street, 3127443647. The cost is $5.00 and you must have proof of your pet's current rabies vaccination and proof that your pet is spayed or neutered to receive the m
ore affordable option.
All dogs must have a current fecal exam that proves negative for all parasites. They also must have proof of up to date vaccinations (Bordatella, Rabies, Distemper, Parvovirus and H3N2 (the new dog flu vaccine) and must be administered Heart Guard and Frontline regularly.

Dogs must be neutered or spayed by 6 months old. This is because our center is an open play environment. Both unaltered male and female dogs elicit competition from other dogs that wish to determine rank or to gain the attention of the intact dog. If your veterinarian has recommended that your dog be neutered or spayed after 6 months, we recommend at home walks until your dog meets our open play requirements.

Dogs must be at least 6 months old and have received his/her final round of vaccinations. A puppies immune system has not yet built up therefore, leaving them more susceptible to contracting illnesses. In our attempt to ensure your pets safety and well being the age requirement is extremely important. Not quite ready for daycare? We recommend at home walks until your dog meets our open play requirements.
